Wood-fired dark Shiboridashi with three small cups. The Shiboridashi is made from smooth, iron-rich stoneware and left unglazed, showing the intense effects of a heavy reduction firing.
The accompanying cups are thrown from smooth, light-colored stoneware and partially finished in a Nuka ash glaze. This set brings together the dark, scorched character of the Shibo with the lighter, glazed aesthetic of the cups.
