A storage vessel thrown from a coarse stoneware clay body and left unglazed. Before being placed in the kiln, a horsetail plant was applied directly to the surface, leaving behind its permanent silhouette and mineral imprint during the firing. The micro-porosity of the unglazed clay makes this jar an excellent choice for storing darker, heavier teas.
