Wood-fired tea storage jar. This vessel is thrown from a fine stoneware body containing iron specks that bloom through the clay during the firing. The exterior is decorated with a white slip, which acts as a bright canvas for the kiln’s atmosphere. Various fire marks and scorch tones sweep across the slip, creating a rich, painterly surface.
 
The interior is fully glazed to provide a clean, non-porous environment for your tea. This combination of raw, fire-decorated slip and a practical glazed interior makes for a jar that is as functional as it is visually striking.
